LaBada Bing! just keeps getting better with age.
This summer marks six years since we launched LaBada Bing!, our collaborative ice cream with The Big Dipper Ice Cream, and it's hard to believe how far it's come from a simple idea on our Facebook page.
Back in the spring of 2020, we asked our followers to send in their wildest ice cream flavor ideas. The response was incredible, we received almost 1,000 votes as customers weighed in on their favorites. After narrowing things down and putting it to a final vote, one flavor edged out the competition in a tight race: LaBada Bing!, a rich vanilla ice cream loaded with dark chocolate chunks and whole bing cherries.
We teamed up with Harry and the crew at The Big Dipper in Prospect to bring the flavor to life, and on June 12, 2020, LaBada Bing! officially hit our freezer aisles. The name says it all, one bite and you'll understand why it became an instant hit.
Six years later, LaBada Bing! has grown into one of our top 20 best-selling items every summer, with an estimated 9,000+ quarts sold since launch. It's the kind of flavor that keeps people coming back year after year, and we couldn't have done it without the incredible partnership with The Big Dipper. Who, in addition to their original Prospect location, now have a second shop in Seymour that's off to a fantastic start.
